Frame-mounted sliders are generally not made for the VFR. The choices are limited to "magic mushrooms" that bolt to the plastic and cause more damage than they prevent, or sliders that mount on brackets over the radiator, putting the radiators in peril.
BUT, a German company named "GSG MOKO" makes beautiful frame-mounted sliders. They are available from http://www.performancemotorcycleparts.com
in Scotland. I ordered mine last Thursday. The owner, Michael Mumford, called me the next day to say they had shipped, and they arrived in Denver today, one week later. Not bad!
The GSG sliders are beautifully finished with machined metal bases and center shafts. They are 5" long and 2 1/4 inches wide on the ends, and come with all bolts and very basic instructions in German and English. They require the use of a smaller overflow tank for the radiator, which is supplied as well.
I plan on using the "Play Doh" method of locating the holes that have to be drilled in the fairings, as depicted on the Intuitive web site. I'll take pics and keep you posted as to how installation goes. Larry
