..1983 Suzuki 650M Katana, bought new in 84, retired in 91 with 168,000 miles, and still running strong. Only probs were with the good ole GS stators, which went south every 30K miles like clockwork. With a good carb cleaning and the usual check-outs, it would be ready to ride tomorrow.
It's funny, out here where we have 7 months riding, bikes with more than 20,000 km (12k mi.) are considered heavily used.
I sold my 88 gsxr with 52,000 km (33k) and people were impressed that it still worked. . People don't realize that with proper maint. these things can go forever.
