Need Weather Proof Sable Bags for FZ1.

I'm really wanting to do a lot of traveling on my FZ1 and I'd like to have some more usable storage space. I was wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to purchase a set of weather proof sadle bags. They don't have to be the same color as the bike, but that would be nice. Has anyone ever seen or prucahsed anything like this?

Only bags 100% weather proof are the hard bags from makers like Givi and.....well Givi. They're expensive and their mounts are usually permanent. But they have locks for opening and closing, as well as mounting. Extremely convenient when you're traveling far from home and have to do some walking away from the bike for long periods. They can carry heavier loads. And in a rainstorm or snow flurry, nothing gives you peace of mind like hard bags.

However, it is possible to get "soft" bags that are "nearly" weather proof. Just make sure they come with rain covers and you use them as much as possible. Even when it's not raining.

I like Tourmaster and Chase Harper. I escpecially prefer those bags with ABS plastic liners inside so they maintain their shape even when empty.

I have both Eclispe and RKA soft luggage. Both are about 90% water proof when used with rain covers. Pack your clean cloths in a plastic bag inside the luggage and you should never have a problem. I have found a tail pack and tank bag are nearly ideal for weekend sport tours. I only use my saddle bags for week long trips or when I am 2 up for a weekend.
