Not exactly Iron Butt material, but good for you. Do a 1200 mile DAY and we'll be impressed.

Hell, even 1000 miles on a 250 gives you bragging rights.

LMAO!

If I lost as much weight as that guy did, I'd be able to power-wheelie a Honda Elite.

Not quite close to my 1500 miles in 2 days on a GS500E (an '89 model with the clip-ons, too) back in 1995. Rode from Barksdale AFB, Louisiana to my hometown of Philadelphia on leave. Then a week later, rode down to the outer banks of NC for a week vacation, then back up to Philly. Then about 10 days later, I rode the 1500 miles back to LA in 2 days. Needless to say, I took alot of long hot baths in that month (and I was still a youngin' then). Granted, it was mostly interstate miles, but I left my car in LA for the entire month - nothing to get around with except the GS. I would suggest one of those bikes to anyone getting into motorcycling (it was actually my second bike). The only problem I had that entire month was that I weighted the bike down with gear, and had a cheap chain on it that stretched under the load, and ended up grinding down the teeth on the rear sprocket until it ate itself about 60 miles from my home in Louisiana (at 2am, no less). Thank goodness for AMA's MoTow plan that night!

Happy Riding!

If I lost that much weight I wouldn't be here!
