Attending First MotoGP Race Tips

This is my first post here.

I’m going to attend U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca with my 6-year old son on Sunday.

We will be driving down from the SF bay area for the day.

We have GA tickets. I would appreciate any tips that will make our day smooth and enjoyable.

What time should we plan on arriving? What would be the best place to park? Where’s the best place to view the race? Any other tips from experienced race-goers?

Thanks very much - Steve

I attended the Indy one only but have general race day tips if you've never been to an outing:
Bring sunscreen and hats
Bring an autograph book/shirt if you're into that kind of thing
Be ready to have fun sitting on lots of motorcycles at the vendor tents; camera a nice touch
To be on the cheap, bring a soft-sided cooler with lunch and possibly beverages
Comfortable walking shoes, planning for rain if its in the forecast; wet socks suck

Weather is not supposed to be too bad this year but be prepared to be in the sun all day. There is no shade or very little around the perimeter of the track. Sun screen, a hat, and lots of water.
It gets really crowded so keep a close eye on the little fella. Oh yeah some earplugs may make his day more comfortable as well. Have Fun, we will be up there Saturday and Sunday too.
