Pedrosa
Capirosi was the best but Pedrosa is starting very well.

What a good race from Capirossi.
Vale and Edwards with problems.
Hayden is not strong enough for Pedrosa.
That's very interesting.

The beast is back on track

Excellent run by Pedrosa, but not quite enough push at the end to fight for first place. It will be interesting to see how Rossi rebounds.

Some people were saying that Pedrosa did not have the strength to handle the GP class of bikes. This season should answer that question.

pedrosa's performance shocked me... and I was really rooting for him to take first. but after closing that gap I guess he thought he wouldn't be able to pass in time and just settled for 2nd?

damn shame about rossi though, that's not a great way to start the season.

For a second there it seemed that Rossi wasn't even going to get back on the bike. Still can't figure out how he didn't get run over by the rest of the pack.

I agree with you Nomad that it looked like Pedrosa just stopped chasing, but I wonder how much rubber he had left. 2nd place isn't too bad for his first race. Hayden didn't seem too happy though.

Rossi going down so early will just make this season more interesting as he has to fight back for the championship!
Go Nicky!

Really surprising start for both Pedrosa and Rossi! In the post race interview, Pedrosa said his front tire was starting to feel "scary" and he was happy to take second in his debut race. Sounds like a smart choice to me, rather than crashing out trying to catch Capirossi who was very strong at the end. Hayden can't be happy about getting stomped by his rookie teammate though I think Rossi finishing low in the points is a good thing for the viewers this year, we get to watch an exciting comeback instead of a blowout championship

That kid was rollin!! 2nd is great kick in the mouth for those that thought he couldn't hang. and Hayden barely held out for third!!
