MotoGP and the National Anthem

I was just re-watching the Laguna Seca MotoGP race.....

How much bigger does MotoGP need to get before we can hire a better singer?

Yes he really blew it. BAD! He totally forgot a good portion of the words and got half the remaining words wrong. I think that singer was the same idiot who locked the gate to our parking lot, trapping me and a few thousand others trying to leave. It took us 4 1/2 hours to get out.
Or maybe traffic was so bad the real singer got stuck in traffic and they just picked some moron to do it.

Saturday's singer was better but the F18 showed up too early and it's engine drowned out the end of the song.

The best singer they had was a few years ago when Lyle Lovett sang it.

Being a former singer myself (smoking killed it for me), I can understand loosing it from all the pressure and excitement.

But jeez.... I was an college kid... not a professional. And all singers know... there is one song you just DON'T fuck up.
