Angry Haskovec paralyzed

Team M4 EMGO Suzuki's Vaclav 'Vincent' Haskovec, 31, was seriously injured in a high-speed single-bike crash at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California during Saturday's AMA Formula Xtreme race. After he lost control and was flung from his racebike at over 100 mph, Haskovec flew back-first into a steel barrier fronted by a stack of car tires, and then was struck by his motorcycle.

Haskovec suffered a broken collarbone, broken ribs, a punctured lung and a shattered T6 vertebra, with paralysis below the chest.
[I cut and pasted from another site.]

DID anyone see this race? Did he highside or was it a mechanical problem?

It seems like everytime a track has had millions spent on making it safer and more interesting there is an incident that reminds the track designers they didn't do a good enough job. Just before this race I read how NASCAR spent silly money to uprgrade the track and paddocks, but I guess their racing concerns deal with cages and not bikes.

I can only be naive and hope the paralysis is not permanent.

That SUCKS. I wish him a speedy recovery, and I hope that he can walk again. He's a good guy.

I hope he can walk again...and I also hope the american tracks become better.
In my Country,Spain, there are some old and dangerous tracks for example Jarama track, in Madrid, but important races arenīt celebrated there because it is not safe.
Hi from Spain!
