Kawasaki will not be racing the 636. It is a street only model. They will race the 600RR.

The 600rr is too new to take it all this year but it will come on strong at the end of the year. 2004 Suzuki better be ready.

hmmm

If your talking regular riding the magazines liked the 636 more than the 6rr. They said it had more power, and posted faster lap times on it. There is never replacement for displacement, obviosly if it has a bigger engine it's capable of more power.

Cool BEST 600

The class has become so close in competetion that its basically up to rider prefrence and skill. I have been watching the class advance over the years and I have always notised that
Honda always does it with a smaller engine and as comforterable
as a lazyboy. So I say Honda will be the best notise kawi could only beat the others with a larger engine???

Like I stated above Kawasaki will be racing the 600RR not the 636. The 636 is a street only machine.

Let's look at the AMA 600 supersport results from last year shall we?

1 Aaron Yates 311 (Suzuki)
2 Tommy Hayden 278 (Kawasaki)
3 Damon Buckmaster 252 (Yamaha)
4 Jason Pridmore 248 (Suzuki)
5 Roger Lee Hayden 216 (Honda)

Looks like Kawasaki, Suzuki AND Yamaha had no problem kicking Honda's ass last year all with 600cc machines.

P.S. Changed the voting choice above to say 600RR instead of 636 for the Kawasaki.

After further research I have found out the Kawasaki will in fact be racing the 636. But it will be in the AMA Superstock class against 750cc machines.

Considering Tommy Hayden finished 2nd last year in this class with a 600cc supersport machine look for him to do even better on the 636.

i do think that hayden and the 6rr will win the ama title. radial brakes, usd forks, slipper clutch, adjustable swingarm pivot, it's impressive. but fusa's 600 superbike class should end up being dominated by either a suzuki support team or a privateer 636 (fusa has 650 displacement rule).

honda will rule world supersport. the honda factory can make a killer world supersport-spec bike.

in sales, honda will kill all. the underseat exhaust is worth 5% of 600 sales alone.
