No rest for GP riders during closed season.

SUMMARY: ***image1:right*** Unlike the compulsory break enforced on their four-wheeled counterparts, MotoGP riders are allowed to test throughout the closed season. Most of the top teams are hard at work preparing for the 2003 race calendar that will open at Suzuka in Japan on April 6.

Kawasaki, preparing for its first foray into the premier league of motorcycle racing since South African Kork Ballington raced a monocoque KR500 in 1982, had four riders circulating on Malaysia's Sepang circuit just before Christmas.
