What will Edwards do?!

Edwards has a couple choices to make. I have heard from "reliable insider info" that he will be racing a Honda next year. I really hope he does, as I think Honda has the best bike. However, I just recieved this article via e-mail from a good friend in TX......

Edwards Has Four MotoGP Choices, All On Michelin

Speaking at MotorSports Ranch today, Superbike World Champion Colin Edwards said he has four MotoGP choices for 2003, all on Michelin tires.

Edwards led a parade lap and signed autographs at the CMRA event in Cresson, Texas Sunday morning, then told Roadracingworld.com's David Swarts that his MotoGP choices include Honda, Kawasaki, Aprilia and Yamaha.

Edwards said that he will attend next weekend's MotoGP event at Phillip Island, Australia and hopes to finalize his 2003 deal there.

Where Edwards ends up will have a major impact on the make-up of the 2003 MotoGP paddock, with several riders--all in contention for the same rides that have been offered to Edwards--on hold until Edwards makes his move.

Roadracingworld.com staffers David Swarts and Michael Hannas arrived at Cresson on Friday for a racebike test, and Hannas is racing at the track today as part of that test.

I really hope he rides the Honda.

If I was Edwards I'd go to Yamaha, sure the Honda is best at the moment, but the Yami is getting better by the day.
Also, while Rossi is riding Honda, all other Honda riders will be playing second fiddle.
Honda also desrve a kick in the ass for offering Nicky the ride before Colin

Your both wrong. I'll bet $10 right now with anyone here that he is going to Aprilia next year.

MotoGP

Aprilia's thing is GP racing. Look what they do in the 250 class. The WSB is support for the Mille. Its marketing to sell bikes. I even bought one. They aren't a household name because until a few years ago they made only race bikes and scooters.

I think the nay sayers will be surprised next year. Aprilia will give Colin the support and attention needed to win. Rossi says that he misses the way Aprilia treated him. Look at how many champions were brought up by Aprilia.

As far as the cube not being competitive, its the fastest bike out there. The first year is all R & D anyway.

They have pretty deep pockets. Not as deep as Honda but they are the only motorcycle company to have NEVER lost money.
