I'd get FSX Deluxe if I were you. Some more planes, more detailed airports, and more missions. To be honest, very little of my time in FSX has been spent doing "Free flight" (which is what I've done almost exclusively in every other FS*, X-plane *). I love the missions.

...$85 shipped?

$85 shipped sounds good. How would we do the payment? Paypal?

Another question...

Rudder Pedals. I realize they play a VERY important part in helicopter piloting, but how much are they needed for piloting fighters?

Ground steering, and very low speeds (basically a non-issue). But the X-52 and many other controllers have integrated the rudder into the controls (twist the stick right or left for rudder). I have no problems flying helicopters this way, and can do pretty well with advanced aerobatics also.

Sweet!

I can't wait to get back into flight sims. It's only a matter of time before I have 3 widescreen monitors set up on my desk.

I'm still waiting on my desk. Don't even get me started on a computer.

I think I'm just going to use my 32" LCD Tv for a monitor instead of bothering with these piddly 19" things.

I have a 3200 Luman Projector I can use!! Good plan!!

Why settle for 19" Widescreen when you can have a 10' Widescreen!
