So what does the pro do that the X52 won't? What is the "Added support" you were referring to?

I can't make heads or tails of what I've been reading.

The MFD on the Pro can actually display information from the game (radio stacks for sure, I imagine there's other stuff too). The MFD on the X-52 (i'll just call it the base to avoid confusion) displays Time, current profile (the button configuration), mode (the wheel on the top of the joystick has 3 positions, each one allows every button on the stick to have a different function) and it also has a timer.

The base has blue lighting on it, which can really be bright in a dark room, but not necessarily annoying. The pro allows you to select different colors for those lights. You can also set it up to flash (to indicate a stall, for instance), or change the color of the buttons when pressed.

Also, they have changed the spring mechanism in the Pro so it has more resistance the farther from center it gets. This is probably the one feature I would like the most, as the base (like just about every other joystick I've owned) does not have much resistance.

And the Pro uses some metal buttons, not all plastic like on the base.

Ergonomically, they appear to be nearly identical. And trust me, these are the most comfortable controllers I've ever used outside of a true flight simulator or an aircraft itself.

just for shits and giggles... how much would it take to get you to part with the X52? It doesn't sound like the differences between the X and Pro would be overly noticeable to someone who hasn't played with any flight sims for about 12 years.

It retails for $129.95. I've probably only used it for ~15 hours of sim time. Make me an offer I can't refuse.

Did you pay retail for it? I'm not sure I could make you an offer you couldn't refuse.

Dell has it for $84.99

PC Connection has it for $87.01

Best Buy has them for $99.99

It's tough to find common ground on a price when prices fall so suddenly.

I actually paid $109 for it but the release for the pro has really drug it down apparently. But would you rather support these evil rich capitalists, or me?
