Gta

I did a search on here and found that there's a few Grand Theft Auto fans out there. I'm a big GTA freak, I got into it with GTA1 on the PS, and then 2 on PC, etc. etc.

What do you guys think of San Andreas? Is it a wonderful addition, sporting much more to do, and more expansive gameplay, or an unwelcome departure from the traditional kill / run / kill style that GTA was all about in the early days?

Didnt care for it. But it could be that I was starting to get burned out on vice city, and san andreas just felt like more of the same.

I got burned out on GTA for PS2, but it was a great game with good music. Vice City was fun but not enough to buy it. Never got around to San A.

I see that '25 to life' is the new game coming out that makes GTA look tame.

It's a sad truth man. GTA1 was a breakthrough, something that, if humanity has a damn shred of decency, will echo through the ages.

Every title in the GTA series since GTA1 has been a gradual release from the indescribable magic.. the magnetism that GTA1 had.

Maybe it's the death of DMA, and its subsequent transformation into Rockstar, or just a function of inescapable realities that words can't be put to, either way, GTA ain't the same.

I liked Vice City a lot, just jammin some 80's tunes and flying around the city on that little 600 sportbike for hours. San Andreas didn't hold my interest as much, even though it was better graphics and everything...

also, sidenote: I've played "25 to Life" the past week or 2 and I don't think it comes close to GTA. Sorry to say because I thought it was gonna be an awesome game from what it sounded like.

Just ran across this BBC article on the subject of opening previously unpublished segments. Here's the author's homepage. And then the hot coffee mod.

Looks like that hot coffee mod has the do-gooders soiling themselves once again over the "adult" nature of Grand Theft Auto.

Hillary (don't forget to vote for me in '08) Clinton is asking the FTC to cut Rockstar's nuts off. Apparently the mod only unlocks a pre-existing portion of the game as opposed to adding it. Rockstar says otherwise.

This is what our gov't is spending time on. Super.
