Anyone here have experience with Limewire? Safe? Legal?

Yeah. Legal it is not.. unless you have limewire PRO as you have to pay for it. Although everyone uses it that I know of. Safe - usually yes. f you have a firewall you should be set to go. Some files may have viruses but mainly only video files..

You could probably search for some info on google.

Thanks for your reply.....I used WinMx...a few years ago, now that it's gone I am looking for a replacement.

I have Limewire Pro, but it's exactly the same (as far as I can tell) as the free version, except for the part where you have to pay for it. It's a one time fee, I think it was 40-50 bucks.

I felt ripped when i paid, thanks to there being no diff, but at least I'm legal when i'm stealing music...

I use limewire and it is safe for the most part, i also use pro and you can get pro for free also you just need to know where to go to get it. pm me if you want and ill see if i can email you the file.

i got an ipod about 2 years back,and i all-ways used itunes and paid 99 cents a song........UN-TILL the guy at best buy told me about bearshare, it's free and they have all the music you want.

It was a Free Peer-to-Peer File Sharing Client Program that Ran on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and others Systems supported by the Java Software Platform...............
