Question Civil War Music

When I was in Atlanta, our friends played a CD of some music from the civil war era and I loved it. It was being performed by the 2nd South Carolina String Band. I got copies of two albums: Hard Road and Southern Soldier, the latter being my favourite thus far.

Anyone else love this band or this type of music???

No.

You are one of the seven remaining fans. The band must be very happy since a new fan has not come around in over 35 years. Their fan #'s are dropping from them dieing of old age. Smitty may be one of the remaining seven. Good luck to both of you.

Never heard of it/them, but I would be interested in taking a listen. Then again, about the only music form that offends my ears is rap.

Hi All-

They just released a new live album called "Civil War Live at Gettysburg 1863" that absolutely rocks! Some of the fans are nearly 160 years old, so it is occasionally problematic getting them out to the concerts.

I had never listened to Civil War music, but I'd love to have a try.
