merry Christmas... and happy new bike! ;)

the zook fairy brought me a late gift!!

the hubby and i have a dedicated trackbike. it's a 2003 GSX-R 750. my street bike (2002 Triumph daytona) started to sort of lose it's "special something" after a few trackdays.

(i don't like to ride bikes i don't own... it sort of draws your attention to the things you might not like about YOUR bike!)

well.. on another forum i mentioned i had a longing to find a "sweet seven-fiddy"... and someone posted a craigslist link. about 100 miles from my house... there was a 1999 seven-fiddy (the first year they were fuel injected). it was priced WELL below kbb TRADE-IN value!

i bought said "sweet seven fiddy" for $2600. it came with a matching helmet, some gloves and a joe rocket jacket.

nothing underscores the fact that i had the wrong bike... QUITE like sitting on the RIGHT one.

i rode it around the 'hood tonight. it was bitter cold and my visor was foggy... but i giggled nervously the whole time...

i am gleeful.

may you all find the right BIKE!!! it doesn't have to be brand-spanky-new... it just has to be right.

happy new year! check out my christmas lights... and see what the zook fairy left at my house!!!

Do me a favor and send the scoot fairy my way! But I don't fit well on Zuks, so I am hoping the Honda fairy can find my house. I have decided moving out of my parents house was more important than getting a new scoot, so only a miracle can help me get both now. I hope to move out just about the beginning of riding season.

Congrats on the new purchase. Sounds like you got exactly what you want, and there is little sweeter than getting what you want.
