Post Say hello to a NEW Woman rider!

There's a new rider in the house, and she's my wife! Picked up a 2005 250 ninja for the little woman today and she hasn't come in from the garage in 6 hours. Yup, she's got the fever!!!
This is her first bike and she is on track for taking the MSF course and all riding and safety training we can schedule her for, before she takes her little Ninja for a spin. Just wanted to share her great news (and mine- gotta love being married to a biker girl!) and I hope you all will give her the warm welcome and great advice that you are ALL known so well for!

I guess I'll start with the WELCOME!!!

Those Ninja 250's are a BLAST to ride! Good call on the MSF... it really is a life-saver!

If she has a permit I dont think it would hurt if you took her out for a ride .

She has no permit. This is step one on the first step of many to come. She's been on the back of mine since '88, but that doesn't cut it in terms of experience. Here we go on the long road of trial and (hopefully) no error!

always love to hear about another female in the ranks...

If you're anywhere near a track I'd check into getting her into trackdays as well... you learn a lot about you AND your bikes abilities ... and builds confidence and skills.....

I'm too controlling to let that happen. JK. I'm sure she'll log in someday when she's done searching for all her gear and studying for her permit. It's her BDay today so she may get to sneak a ride in if she passes the written test today. Should be a great day for us all. Thanks for all the encouragement.

Somehow this seems like the best time to ask this, since my question is sure to be misconstrued but... Why is it most of the new riders which are male will post pics of themselves with their bikes, but female riders never do? Maybe the other members want to know what everyone looks like.
