The first bike I rode was a 1976 Honda CB550 (which I still have) then I bought a Ninja 250 cuz I had the sportbike itch........Last year I got my 600 and have put on 4000 miles this year!!

Welcome! Saw you in your "newbie" thread. Excellent work on the miles. I haven't seen those kinds of miles in years. I had 2 or 3 good seasons of 5-6k miles (easy) and it's been around the 1-2k mile marker ever since - been riding since 01. Kinda a bummer.

But, I didn't mean to come in here and drag this down, so WELCOME!

You girls need to get out and ride. I've got 6800 miles in since St. Patricks Day and the bike hasn't move in a month.

Posers.

I live in the shittiest state ever... I've heard from a few different sources that Pittsburgh, PA has more cloudy/rainy days than SEATTLE!!! (but I have always been too lazy to verify it with NWS)

That, and I left a job with a 45 min 1-way commute for a job with a 1hr 45min 1-ways commute (but I LOVE my new job!!!) so I don't get much riding time during the day.

Guess I'm resurrecting this thread-
Active rider, over 14,000 miles last season. Signed up here to keep up with news about the Women's Sporkbike Rally in August.

Same for me also. Signed up because of the rally but hope to meet some new folks.

Not as active as I'd like to be but once I finish learning, I plan to be a more active rider. I only have a little over 1000 miles on my V-strom but I'm getting there.

Almost a year sportbiker from Albany, GA

I have been officially riding since I got my license in Dec. 2006. I bought a 2002 Yamaha R1 of eBay a couple months before I took the course. I practiced stopping and starting then I took the Motorcycle Riders Course at the marine base here at Albany GA. It was on the weekend (3 days). I love it. Anyone close to Albany?
