I bought my lady a new Ninja250 last Jan. We have taken it to the local parking lot about 5-6 times for just basic practice. She's been using just normal cloths for the 20mph and less parking lot but now I am researching gear for her so when she gets her license she can be all geared up.
The local Cyclegear had hardly a thing in stock for her to try on but could order whatever we liked to try on. I have narrowed the jacket and pants down to FirstGear KILIMANJARO set for ladies and was going to order the matching boots but to find out they only make 1 style of the boot, Mens. No lady specific line.
I really am trying to keep her safe, warm and comfortable but all I see for the major brands are just mens boots, she wears about a 8.5 in ladies shoes and am wondering if I should just buy the FirstGear KILIMANJARO boots in her men size or find some other women specific waterproof boot. Ideas?
Cyclegear should carry the Frank Thomas ladies racing boots too. I got mine for a real steal. They were marked down from 260 dollars to 59.00 because they were a size 4 ladies. So they definitely carry chickboots.
Frank Thomas. All the way. They have some really woman friendly boots. And sexy. Woo hoo!
I wear an 8.5 women's, and I actually had my dad buy me a pair of Alpinestars women's boots Clicky and I didn't get to try them on before I bought them. Luckily, the boots fit PERFECTLY! Just to let you know that they run true to size.
I love my boots. I got the solid black color, and they are pretty inconspicuous under jeans, so they don't scream "I RODE HERE!!!"
I had a hell of a time finding the right boots. Finally someone told me to check out the Harley boots at Meijer of all places. I wear a 10(woman's size) normally and a 9.5 fit perfectly. Just put on some boots and test them out. They weren't too expensive, look good, and offer great protection. I am not a Harley rider, but the boots are great!
