How about a ride in the Monterey area?

Anyone close ? This is a great area to ride, many mountain roads. And the ride south towards Big Sur is beautiful, the mountains on one side the ocean on the other.

Hey Mindyy. I'm also in Salinas. As a matter of fact I may have seen you in town. Is your 7s a dark red? Anyway, if you want to ride let me know. I went up to hwy. 9 on Sunday for the first time. Traffic was heavy in parts but it was a beautiful ride.

That is a wonderfull place to ride. Every year for the past 4 years we haul or ride are bikes out during the WSBK. This year however does not seem likely that we will be able to do much riding there, we will still be there for the races. If you get a chance get a picture of your bike under the sign just past 3-mile drive. You know the sign that shows twisties next 80 miles. I have always wanted to do that.

do you mean 17 mile drive? I've never heard of 3 mile drive. Is this the sign?

that's not my picture or my bike, however, it is our road I just remembered seeing the photo on www.pashnit.com

Once I figure out what's wrong with my digital camera I'll be sure to post some pics of the area.

hey there. i live up here in oakland and work in SF, but i've done the ride down to to salinas/monterey a few times (WSB @ laguna seca).
i'd love to go on a ride down that way, or maybe meet halfway like near santa cruz?
i'm wounded right now 'cause a harley tried to fall over and when i caught it, i tore a ligament in my ankle. i'm determined to be better within a couple of weeks and it would be cool to have a females sportbike ride to look forward to when i'm healed.
