Question What's going on w/ this all grils Arizona ride????

So GIRLS! What, when, where and what time are we going to set up for this ride? Don't know if we want to make it a long ride or a short one. I would prefer a nice long ride, but that's me

If we end up on a long ride my suggestion would be Globe, Miami, Superior ride. It's long and a beautiful ride

Okay, since nobody else seems willing to commit, I'll commit.

When: March 2 (Saturday) 10:00 am.
Where: Payson OR Globe, Miami, Superior.
Who: As many women as we can scrape together!

I've never done the Globe/Miami/Superior trip on a bike. Is it suitable for newbie riders? (thinking of Sheri and maybe Corrie's friend). If it is, then that's where I'd rather go.

Thumbs up

WOOHOO! Let's go ladies!!! I'm definitely in!

Another option for the Globe route is to go to Globe, then head to Roosevelt Damn...this brings you out at the rest area on the way to Payson...then back down 87 to Phoenix. It's a bit of a long ride, not sure the mileage...but it's mainly all open sweepers, with a bit of easy twisties before the damn Dam. It's not that technical and is a nice long ride with plenty of scenic break stops. If we have quite a few newbies, we probably need to plan plenty of rest stops...especially if they aren't used to doing long rides. Just a suggestion though, I'll follow wherever you ladies want to go!

Sounds good to me. If I can remember right Globe,Superior,Miami are more sweepers than twisties. We can go either route. Never been the Roosevelt Dam route. I've got hopefully 2 friends to bring if I can get the other one comfortable enough to go on a ride.

Cool Sheri's Input

I'm game for wherever, gotta learn either way!
Where would we meet at? I got some warmer gloves and will *definitly* wear thermals this time. Last time to payson I had to leave my house at 7 am and I froze to death until we were on our way home that afternoon! -not fun!
Let me know!

Yeah, I live at 67th/Happy Valley... where's good to meet? I only know one way to get to Mesa cycle Gear... so if you were wanting to take i17 to 202 like Chris is saying to do- I hope you know the way cause I don't!! I just know 101 to scottdale, to shea... we'd have to meet somewhere at like 9 am to get there on time.
Let me know!

Sheri, Sounds good. I will let you know where to meet. We will most likely have my girlfriend that went on the ride with me on Sunday too. I've lived here all my life so you are safe with me
