there is always a way to disengage it but if you do, you will not have a anti-theft device and if anything happens to your vehicle, and it gets stolen, you may get in trouble for having it disengaged, especially since your insurance company probably gives you a discount for having it to begin with. besides that, if you financed it, you may be bound to having it becuase technically the truck isn't yours.
