Do you find that the 6 speed is a little too busy as compared to a 5 speed. I've noticed that in most cars I've driven w/ a 6 speed it seemed like I was working a lot harder 'cause the gears were so close.

It doesn't really bother me. 1st is pretty short, but second and third are so long. The acceleration in second gear is amazing one of the coolest feelings that I've experienced. For all but 130+ mph driving, 1-4 will do. On the highway at 75 in 6th. It just hums along.

I will second that thought on 6-speeds. I have one in my car and it's the worst manual I've ever driven. The gears are too short and stoplight grand prix's suck because 1st gear is shot for me after about 100 feet and I can't start in 2nd because it's too tall from a stop. Other 6-speeds are probably good, but not mine.

Tight BMW. Very nice car. I wish I had gotten a passenger car, but that is being remedied next month when I get rid of my little black beauty and get an SUV.
