you can do what I'm about to do, finda a crappy mid 80's jap car with a 5-speed, put some knobby wheels and foglights on it, add a loud exhaust system and go rally racing baby!!! its the most fun you can have in a cage, and all for under a grand

Get a nice, powerful sedan. Insurance is cheap. More cargo space, and you can get often get a hatch for towing put on for cheap.

I wish you were close; I have a 1994 Toyota 4x4 in EXCELLENT condition with 67000 miles for $6500...

For 10k. You are better off looking for a clean 4runner to drive. It can haul your bike around and do everything you need. They're pretty much legendary when it comes to reliability.
