A friend of mine just purchased a GSXR 1000 and he let me take it around the block. I took it easy, didn't want to roast his new motor or fold up a 13,000 dollar bike.

Power is good down low and the bike is very light, it feels like a 600/750 but the "OH MY GOD" factor is real high.
Didn't take it into the fat part of the power but it makes so much below 8000 rpm you really don't need to.

Makes my bandit feel like its dragging an anchor! I guess with 100 extra pounds and thirty less horse power it kind of is.

Build a man a fire, and he is warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he is warm for the rest of his life.

Everything I know I learned from killing smart people and eating their brains.

This bike is the talk of the town!!! It's the killer bike that has no competition. Veteran riders from different magazines are saying that this bike has too much power. Professional riders are crashing it because of the speed & power. There is a guy on ebay.com that is selling his while he & the bike are still in one piece. Take it for what it's worth, but the GSX-R1000 will make you a believer of why it's the hottest thing to date.

No, no, no. The hottest thing to date would be Jenna Jameson. Or so I hear.
