I would say top speed of around 132mph (faster if u have a tail wind) and a 1/4 mile of 13.7 - 14.0 depending on rider ability. If you trick the bike out you or change the gearing (sprockets) you may pull off a 12.9 quarter, but that would be about it.
My old 91 600R could do a 12.58 quarter, and that was with stage 3 and sprockets, so a 500R would be hard pressed to perform equally.
Why dont you take it to the local track and let us know what you do! Its a blast and always alot of fun!
thanks, but i was told 2 race (from a friend)that i would
need a diffrent kind of helmet but i figured u guys would
probaly know better than her, so all helmet are made the same??? thanks again 4 makin me sound like a dumba$$
If I recall correctly, one of members (Richard P., I think) once said that some drag strips do require some sort of special helmet for racing. The best thing to do is just call the place to get the scoop.
