Question Need help 600's or a 750??

MY buddy recently got a Kawi Zx6 (really nice) He said it was suposed to keep up with a Suzuki 750 becuase of its 636 engine.. But i really wanted between an R-1, Gsx-600R, or a Cbr600... I dont know wich is the best... i want the best bike out of them if possible.. Fastest will do i've rode a 750 before and i really liked it, the only thing is its a little more pricey. So out of the 600's wich is the best and can the kawi Zx6 keep up with a Suzuki 750?6

The 636 and the 600s can keep up with the 750 in the tight turns. None of them are going to keep up with the 750 in a straight on race with everything stock.

Any of the 600s are good. It just boils down to which one feels good and looks good to you.

When you make the jump to the 750 and 1000s you have a huge jump in insurance cost.

I have only sat on the 675. It feels like an awesome bike and the few that I've talked to that have ridden them loved the bike. In my opinion it is the best bike out there for 06. It is a triple cylinder so an after market pipe would make for one fine sounding machine. It's lightweight and putting out almost as much horsepower as the 600s.

Had the one I sat on not had a deposit on it I would have bought it on the spot.

What is your riding experience? Just down the street and back again? Have you ridden for months / years in the past? Do you currently ride and, if so, for how long?

My point is, the tone of your post sounds as though you're a new rider. If this is the case, you should NOT be looking to start on a late model 600, let alone a 750 or R1!!

The comment, "Fastest will do", leads me to believe that you're going to end up being a statistic. I hope you prove me wrong...

If you are looking at 600s alone, the rider makes the machine, not the other way around.

mrkline006 - Perhaps a more detailed description of your riding experience is in order, such as you described to me in your PM?
