I am just curious to find out what fuel and oil of choice for every one. What brand of each and octane rating? (especially the R1's out there)I've always used mobil gas, super, and oil. Since I have a Yammie it would make sense to use oil produced by the manufacturer. One dealer said they do and another said they don't use Yamalube when they change the oil. what do ya'll think?

My only advice to you is use a motorcycle specific oil as they now have additives in them that better suit a motorcycle's needs,ie
clutch, trans are very hard on lubricants so these additives are designed to better withstand the abuse.

On my '00 R1 I use nothing but Amoco "White" gas and at 3000 miles switched from the Yamalube 20w40 (which is a blended oil) to Mobil 1 MX4T 10w40. Seems to actually shift smoother. I feel from another form of using a Yamaha Engine (1200cc Legends Cars) under Racing conditions that Mobil 1 withstood the torture of consistant high RPM's and heat.
