'06 R6, have you ridden or own one?

I'm not the type to go on to dealerships and sit on their new bikes if I have no intention to possibly buy one. I feel bad to lure those guys. Plus, some dealers won't let you sit on their bikes lest you're serious.

So I never saw the '06 R6 until today at parking lot. Despite the tach indiscrepancy, I think the bike is great, and it looks gorgeous. Although my current 600 and new R6 is pretty close in terms of weight, but the R6's dimunitive size is amazing. In length and width, it appears 65% size of my '99 CBR. Amazing! The R6 resembles a tricked out a pocket bike. But the passenger seat is the worst I've seen of any sportbikes, I guess another reference to pocket bike. Its lack of use and the passenger pegs are just for show, I'd remove them, makes no difference. I think a girl would have to be an insane masochist to sit on it.

But it's a definitely a top contender for my next possible purchase.

I own one, and its bad ass. I really hate riding people on teh back so it wasn't an option. My g/f rode once and she said the seet was fine, the only problem was the pass. pegs were very high up and it made her very uncomfterable compaired to my old 2000 r6 which she now owns.

Bad ass bike, i have 2000 miles on it, and 2 trackdays and about 10 more to go this year. Sweet bike i suggest buying one.

I have ridden all the other 600's and this is the one i fell in love with but im a yamaha guy threw and threw.

Got pics? Is the throttle response on fly by wire any different than conventional ones?

i got one, i love it. be careful in the higher rpms, this thing will try to fly out from under you when other bikes' powerbands flatten out.
