Well since I have never driven either bike in the 2005 model. I would have to go on looks. I kinda like the gixxer a little more. Now this is only going by the pictures you have provided. A closeup look in person could change my mind. I would also have to at least sit on both. How comfortable they are would definately have a say in my decision. Our local dealers dont have any of the 06 bikes in yet. Performance wise I am guessing they both will out perform any thing I have ever driven so that wouldnt have that much pull in my decision. The fastest bike I have ever driven is a 03 zx9r. That is also the most comfortable bike I have ever been on.

Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don't turn up at all.

IMO the new 10R is fugly. I miss the 03-04 ZX6R and 04-05 ZX10R. Long gone are the days of nice looking kawi's. When I get ready to buy a new one (in the very distant future), Ill be buying a yamaha.

The Gixxer, 'cause that Kwacka is f*cking ugly!

(This from a devoted Kwacka owner!)

Congratulations...you can now go out and buy the bike that most other people want!

Just a thought: which one do you like best?

I haven't seen the zx10 in person yet. I have seen/sat on the gixxer. I like it but I feel that 07 will have tons of new tricks over this yrs gixxer.

I like the zx10 but it's brandy new and who knows if it will fly or fall from the sky.

Just wanted to get other people's input on pros and cons so I can see if I am missing a prospective or two....

I will get what I want but I am looking for feed back on pros and cons....

for those interested a pic of the new zx10 yellow/orange color. Looks like it would be much better looking in person than on the net.
