Most popular brands or least maintenance

Hi guys I was just wandering which brands are most riden out of Honda/Yamaha/Suzuki/Kawasaki here, I used to be a faithfull Honda man, but since on the internet they seem to be the least favorite, I have always loved honda due to their durability, and low maintanance.

Can you guys give me an Idea which is the lower maintanence or least expensive to own in the long run, along with which bikes you guys think are most common and why.

Just trying to figure todays sportbike world out.

From looking around a bit it seems to me that most agree on Honda's reliability. The problem with them is I've heard them called the worst to work on. I really don't know that any are better than the others though. You're going to be able to find positives and negatives about all manufacturers.

The R1 is a nice bike to work on, except for changing spark plug #1
