ahh yes its sitting in my car port!!! sadly its not mine...a friend shelters it hear...he traded it on a 2000 gsxr 6000....he says you would not believe how much better the r6 is!!!! I know from sitting on it ...that this is way lighter than my old cbr 900rr!!! and it just exudes quality craftsmanship that excedes my 900's ... oh woah is me...I am seriously considering the the new 600 rr from honda.....ALLL that said...my friend noted great comfort in the r6 as well as great handeling...he did miss his gixxer's bubble fairing..

Well i just put 190 miles on my 03 R6 saturday. ANd i loved it. I had a 96 ZX-6R so its the only bike i can compare it to.

Handleing is excelent, You definatly feel the light weight, Turns are so easy, i feel like i can lean that thing way down. The streeing is very soft though, it will definatly need a steering dampener.

Power is good, a big improvant over my 96. I havent really got on it other then 75% thottle (break in), but cruising in first and snapping the throttle (still only 75% throttle) the front end comes up (i weigh 160lbs.) although my kaw seems more torquey for some reason, maybe just cause i havent got on it. My R6 also seems to have a softer throttle then my ninja., this could also be the reason why it feels more torquey. Clutch feel is about the same. Brakes have plenty of stopping power.
It definatly needs a slip on to quiet, and i think i could gain some power from it.

Comfort is about the same, after 4 hours of riding, my shoulders and traps were killing me. I sit alot further up then on the ninja.
Foot pegs are also higher. At 5'9" i was on my tip toes, couldnt flat foot it.

Got a lot of complments on my bike, lot of people loved the black with redflames sceme.
Definatly need a fender elimantor kit, that back piece is ugly.
Gauges are cool, i like how it glows red, matches the red for the flames. Like the 2 trip meters and clock, just got to figure how to adjust my shift light. Wish it had a fuel gauge though, weird not having a reserve or no fuel gauge, hard trusting the low fuel light.

all in all a well built bike, Im glad i chose it.

Was the special edition black and red flames ($8099 retailed)
out the door for $7820 (havent payed tax yet, out of state buy)

When i first looked at it a sales guy told me $7699, but he didnt have authorization for that low (guy was a moron) I could only talk the owner of the shop down to the $7820

2003r6

Hey whats up I read the first ride review on the 2003 r6. I realy read three differnt ones and each one had all good things to say. So I went and bought one. I love it to no end. It is a very powerful 600 that will get your attention and everyone elses attention also. So if you do not have one yet I would go get one.

Another happy owner. I can't wait to get mine.
It's just a matter of time before I make everything official. I'm thinking about having a micron high mount exhaust put on; what do you think about that? Any suggestions?

I have a micron on my Kawasaki now, very well built quality pipe. I even like the sound, cheaper then some other namebrands.
Im going to get a micron titanium fire regular mount for my R6. Regular mount because i haul woman sometime and i dont want them buring their leg. But if your not haulling passengers get the high mount, it looks good.

I'm gonna get a carbon fiber canister, i was told they dont get hot just warm to the touch. Is this true please let me know now 'cause a burnt leg would mean no between legs, LOL!

For all the ladies out there thats just sick humor, no offense meant.
