Naked ZX9R

Quote from MCN:
"Also in the new MCN, thereís an exclusive look at the new, naked ZX-9R based muscle bike. Itís got to be one of the most radically styled bikes to go into production in years and you can see it first in MCN."

Does anyone know anything more about this bike and if Kawasaki plans to release it in the US?

MCN quote:
"This is the machine everyone is going to be talking about. In the latest issue of MCN, out August 14, you can see the first picture of Kawasakiís new ZX-9-powered muscle bike.

The image has been generated from material supplied to MCN, but the bike, called the ZR1000, has already been seen by our own Dave Batchelor (with no camera to hand) in secret tests in France.

He confirms that this is an accurate rendition of the bike he saw in the metal.

Inspired by the firmís legendary Z1 of the early Ď70s the bike is a much more radical effort than just a stripped down ZX-9R. With two sets of over-and-under pipes and an all-new swingarm the 140bhp machine is the boldest design from Kawasaki in years."

This bikes specs look a lot of fun! Unfortunately MCN is not yet supplying a full image of the bike on their website.

Now that looks like a good reason to go naked in public

R6steve, twisty roads lead to twisted minds.

I heard this was called the ZR-10 too. This must have been the pipe configuration I heard about from a close Kawi source last summer, he told me the new ZX-10R would have four pipes out the back ala MV F4. Or maybe it was like in this pic but I did hear about the 4 pipe config.

Damn thing looks a 100x times better than that Yami FZ1

Thanks for the image treestman. You're right Moto24, makes an FZ1 look like an old mans bike.

I wouldn't go that far. That FZ1 (IMO) is the best looking naked bike out there. I'll have to see this creature in person before deciding between them.

PCS me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a darn poor scholar that can only spell a word one way

My school taught the 3 R's - Racin', Rasslin', & Rodeo.
