Anybody got a Suzuki V-Strom yet? What do you think?

I bought one the end of March and put over 15,000 miles on it in 3 months including an Iron Butt 100 CCC and a trip to the Canadian Rockies. I traded a Bandit 1200S and although the Bandit is a bit more of a hooligan bike the V-Strom is far more comfortable and vibration free. Once you learn to trust the tires it corners very well. No problems in 16,000 miles, 4 of 8 valves were slightly tight at the 15,000 mile check. This bike has truely exceeded my expectations.

Thanx for the info & pic.

I recently finished a 5600 km trip through the Alberta and BC Rockies on my venerable '78 GS1000 and had 3 days of down time for repairs. Time to semi retire this one to local putts and show and get a new V-Strom.

Following your post I looked up the Ironbutt site and I think I will try it out next year once I have the new wheels.

Cheers from Subarctic

Although I dont own one myself, I spoke to two people who own them and both are thrilled to death and claim they wont trade it unless theres somthing ALOT better about the new bike.
