Red face Buell XB9R a 600 beater?!?

Local Buell dealers are claiming that in tests on a comprehensive race track out west that the 2002 Buell XB9R Firebolt beat out the Yamaha R6, Kawi ZX-6R, Honda F4i, and Suzuki GSXR-600 for lap times.

Now after owning a Buell in Y2K with many quality problems I have pretty hard feelings towards Buell. Hard feelings or no hard feelings I think this rumor is pure industrial grade horsesh-t.
But I would still like to see if anybody thinks this information has any basis or fact. Or if anyone else has an opinion on this rumor?

Thanks...

Post No proof availible...

In repsonse to desmo's reply:

I asked the dealer if there was info either online or on paper at the dealership to prove his statement. He told me it was an annual thing where Buell salespeople get together with Buell race riders and test their new models vs. current Japanese and Italian sportbikes. He said the Buell outperformed them all. He said I could speak with the salesman at the dealership who was there BUT he couldn't provide me with anything in Black & White. or any numbers at all. I asked 3 times and his reply was "The results aren't availible to the public".......

BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What else is a factory hd rider gonna say? like... "Ya know, the jap bikes ripped the FireFart's ass off in the turns AND the straights"

Harley has been very coy about their marketing of the new Italian-built framed Buell. They claim it will be "the best handling street bike ever built" This avoids any comparison to a real repli-racer like the R6, 6R, gxr600 or f4i.

"not available to the public"... Like they would keep it a secret if the FireFart truly beat the jap bikes.

What a crock.
