Here is my $.02. The kawasaki's might have a little more power, but thats about it. When is Kawi going to get with the program? I know they dont have as much funding as say powerhouse Honda, but their stuff (save the ZX12-R) is kind of outdated. Dont get me wrong, they build quality bikes that are great for the all around rider/trackday once a year person...
But we are talking performance right? The Zx line strikes me as a sport "touring" line. You dont believe me all you have to do is sit on a 6R or 9R. They are very comfortable but dont really strike me as "track ready." The 954 is totally different. Everything about it says race.. Refined, lightweight, stylish, and very powerful. I'm sorry I forgot the GP Bike ZX7R. Just a little old?? Very stable bike but that is because its built like a sherman tank. A freakin lead sled. A GSXR-600 could most likely dust one off. (I also know Eric B. won the 600cc Supersport title this year on a 6R, however Eric is DA MAN and I doubt his factory Kawi resembled a stock 6R in too many ways)
OK, I'm not hating on Kawasaki. I'm stating the reasons why I switched. Dont mean to offend anyone out there, but I'm basically saying what magazine editors around the USA have been saying for the past couple of years.
