Question Bad plastic on GSXR?

Has anyone had any trouble with the plastic on their GSXR? I bought a new 2001 750 in October, shortly after purchase both ram air ducts cracked, after that was repaired, the windscren broke, and Friday one of the air ducts broke again!!! I'm a relativly new rider and I don't pull wheelies. I'm convinced that there's something wrong with the bike other than plastic. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced similar problems.

Hey dude! Sorry'bout all the problems you're having! Guys and Gals, I know this guy pretty well and he treats his bike excellent. We are just stumped as to why this crap is happening! The dealer he bought it from is trying to say that "must be something you did" type of thing. I don't agree. Could it be a misalignment in the frame or something like that? I have ridden for a few years collectively and have never seen anything like it.........any suggestions will help! Is it possible it is just a bad purchase? From Suzuki? Doesn't happen often. Only my opinion though! Happy riding and thanks for your comments in advance!

I have had my bike for over a year and have had no problems. If your dealer is telling you that it's something that you are doing I would take it somewhere else. My guess is that it's not being installed correctly and the dealer doesn't want to own up to it. I've ridden mine very hard and have ridden many wheelies that have been aborted and slammed extremely hard and have had no problems. Aside from crashing I can't imagine anything that would cause your problem.

You must be fast cus I was hauling ass when I passed you.

Exactly! I just can't see a new bike coming out of the box and having all of these cosmetic problems! It just sucks to have a new bike and have it in the shop all of the freakin' time! Someone needs to step up and take responsibility!
Good Luck and happy riding!

Wink

Just, want to put out a good word for Bell's Suzuki in Lexington KY. I brought my bike into them this evening and they stepped up and made me feel confident that they would find what was breaking the plastic on my bike and fix the problem.
