2002 Sp2 (rc52?)

This is a pic. of what next years SP2 as we call it over here will look like. It has alot of detail changes made but the most obvious one is the up-swept pipes. These are most likely to be an option as you will lose the pillion seat. Looks pretty cool to me although this is a computer altered photo by MCN but they don't often get it wrong. Check out their web site for more. www.motorcyclenews.com

That paint scheme is awesome, but what other "detail changes" have been made. Looks pretty similar to the 2000/2001 models, if you ask me.

O.K., I read the article now. When you said "detail changes," I interpreted that as being "styling changes."

Word I'm hearing is no significant changes. Some FI refinement and just other minor stuff but I have heard that the exhaust will be somewhat different. I really doubt that the street version will be set up without passenger pegs. A closer look at that picture will reveal that the exhaust is actually photoshop work too. I would expect changes in the color scheme and that silver looks damn good.

Yeah, the silver looks VERY sharp, but the SP-2 sticker looks cheesy.

I guess what yer saying is that it will remain an ill-handling, disjointed POS.
