Man it's Dead Here!!

We need to get out the word about this being a dirtbike site now also or something. It's awful quiet around here. Need to steal some members from [mod edit: another dirtbike site] Maybe it's the cold weather keeping everyone away. Damn winter.

"When in doubt..gas it."

Unfortunately a lot of areas face not so great riding conditions this time of year. We've been fortunate this winter with somewhat dryer conditions than usual. Even with the good riding conditions we've been blessed with, I haven't been all that successful in getting out on my tank since November. The holidays kind of got in the way.

It's not the cold weather...

I am snowed in up here, and because of that I find myself using all spare time downloading bike videos and surfing forums like this. If I was able to ride I wouldn't be hanging around this computer...
I am surprised more people aren't here though. I was reading articles about Eric Bostrom and Nicky Hayden and when they are not on the track they're in the dirt. I am looking for a bike now, I kind of wanted soemthing street legal but more for off road. Nobody seems to make one excepty maybe KTM and ouch their really expensive. It would be nice to have a bike that was great off road but was legal and good enough to ride 20 minutes to get out of town and into dirt without loading it on a truck.

Not in Egypt

Yea, a friend told me that he only gets to ride his bike four months a year back in his country (Montreal, Canada) and that's why he adores it here (Egypt) where he gets to ride around the year.

I rode on the ice last week,, had a ton of fun, learned a lot about flat trackers and there style and set up on the bikes, the guys who race on the ice in the winter do flat track in the summer, just away to stay in shape and on top of there game. It is tough to get all excited about riding when all you have are the memories of a few months ago..
