Tierri Leroy

Tierri, who some of you probably knew, died instantly on his Ducati on Wednesday morning after hitting a taxi making an illegal U-turn. You may have seen the report in the Straits Times yesterday.

His wife is looking to sell his very limited edition MV Augusta F4 (1 of 3 in Asia). I donít know the full details but it cost S$ 120,000+. PM me if you know anyone who might be interested.

Thoughts to his family and friends...

can't believe it. he was a good guy. Very sad news.

Tell her not to worry about the bike. We'll sell it for her one way or the other.

Get some pics and info to me 1-4 .

Had to use my step ladder to change a light bulb cos i don't get on with my real ladder.

Update

The bike is no. 30 of the 300 Tamburini specials. Apparently it was first offered to Mahathir and then the S of Brunei.
It came in via Joe, registered Jan 06, 5300 km, in mint condition.
Ricifi Leroy is looking for S$75,000. Please PM me if you know someone interested in acquiring this.

Not to rain on anyone's parade

Does anyone know the cost of a new Duke ?

The 1098 S is circa 50k and then I guess we'll see a 1198 R which I will be priced circa 70k (wild stab in the dark?)

The F4 is a nice bike no doubt but the fact that neither Mahathir nor the Sultan of Brunei chose to exercise any option to buy is not exactly a great selling point (or am I missing somehting here)

I suspect its a tough call to get 75k for the bike.

Pricing

The Tamburini was sold in the USA at $42,695 ( website) excluding 'applicable freight, dealer setup, tax, title, or licensing fees'; and at equivalent prices in the UK and here (S$91k I'm told, plus all the spares Thierry bought at the same time).
This being a limited edition the price of Ducatis is surely not directly relevant.
