Rossi done or not?

In a post race interview Rossi claims to have given up hope of retaining the crown, could just be posturing but 51 points is a pretty big gap. Hayden has finished every race with lowest finish in 6th and 8 podiums so looks like we will have a septic WC

Is this the bit where i get to say i told you so!!!

Of course we'll get the "well the bike let him down"
He was strugglin to get 5th yesterday and there's no way he would have made the podium even when the bike was running OK.
Still quite fancy Pedro this year. If he hadn;t have binned it earlier this year he'd have been well up there.

Pedro next year no problem ( if he stays with ONDA of course)

Had to use my step ladder to change a light bulb cos i don't get on with my real ladder.

Certaintly arse luck 2006 Rossi having.

What is with the year rossi is having? Does anyone know exactly how many races he did not finish due to mechanical problems?
As much as I'd like to see the crown taken away, especially by niki, I would much rather see it not blamed on mechanical issues.

Out on a limb!!!

What a bunch of turn coats you lot are - I'm not giving up on him just yet and would hate to see someone win the crown with barely a race win!!! (sorry BP).

He is still twice the talent of anyone in the current field.... Am greatful to have witnessed what will go down in history as the greatest rider ever, can't see it being bettered either.

AND having to come back from a long way down might be just the encouragement a champ like him needs... Making up 51pts from 6 rounds could be a chance if Nicky has a single DNF Amazing thing is he is still at better odds for the championship than Pedrosa who is only 34pts back

Is it weird in here, or is it just me?

Don't count him out just yet. The Repsol honda guys definitely have the bikes but I think any of these 4 still have a shot.
Hayden, Rossi, Melandri and Pedrosa

Of course Rossi winning the Championship at this point would be a miracle and Melandri is def. a long shot as well. Looks like there will be plenty of competition for years to come!
