Moto GP Phillip Island

Is anyone familiar with the Phillip Island track? Wondering which side is the best from grandstands to view GP racing?

Ignore Bbq he's just jealous we have the best circuit in the world while he has some half baked chinese playstation designed track to ride on

Forget Gardner straight (unless your keen on a stiff neck trying to follow them at 300+k's) it is also opposite the garages but the rollers are mostly down so nothing much doing there.

Bass straight (T2) has a good view back to the very fast T1.. Siberia is three turns later (T5) and from there you get a good view of the hairpin (T4) as well and a jumbo screen for the rest. From Lukey you can see the hayshed which is crazy fast and then up over the hill so would prob. be my pick, but really you couldn't go too far wrong.

You'll spend plenty of time walking to different spots so a grandstand would only be needed for the race....

Hire a bike from Melbourne and ride down, the 1.5hr trip is so much more fun on 2 wheels.

Florida!!! You'd better pack some woolies and wet whether gear as it can still be cold on the island come October...

Heaps more info. here:

Is it weird in here, or is it just me?
