Good event by all accounts but marred only by Poulís nasty crash in practice.
Poul high-sided in practice on Saturday at Turn 7 (North Track). Turn 7ís the narrow tight right-hander that leads you back onto the main straight via a grid of resurfaced drain covers and some Ďbolt oní run off concrete for those not so familiar with the cut down circuit.
He was taken to hospital and was operated on pretty quickly. He had fractured his thigh bone and dislocated his hip. The dislocation had caused some damage to the joint itself which may not lead to a full mobility of the joint. Heís possibly out of hospital on Wednesday with the aid of friends and crutches.

Sorry to hear poul dumped it. I suppose at the times he does and trying as hard as he does it has to go pear shaped sooner or later but still sad to hear! Lets hope he gets better soon and doesn't encounter too many problems on the way!
