on a serious note

Ok, the sea pic has convinced me.

How do I get my bike down there? On a train?

Help me with the logistics and I'll give you a few track tips...

Such as the best turn to bin it on, the name of the head nurse at the local hospital, a frame welder etc etc....

The low down for me ol' mate

Well a real biker would ride it on down here (it's only 1,000km's or so......then again it is a ducati - haha) otherwise you could hand your pride and joy over to one of the specialist freight companies (yeah right) and it'll be here before you know it, might lose a footpeg or maybe a little bit of tank paint but otherwise she'll be good to go

Seriously I've heard good and bad stories - most of the privateers in the Aust. superbikes use them to get from state to state. Have a look towards the back of the next Aust. Mototcycle News mag for an ad or two.

Or call up Budget and hire a good old fashioned Ozzie ute mate - trip of a lifetime I tell ya

Your tips also sound invaluable

So you thought....

Ledge,

A last minute change of mind (and change of heart after seeing bike prices here) means the mighty Duke is going to be following me down here. It was at Joe's getting a new set of skins ahead of the move, and is at Minerva as we speak, in the bike equivalent of the pre flight "lounge"

Can't wait to get her back.

Mate ... I'ld be as curious as a curious thing to know how you get on with shipping your baby back ... i.e cost and ease etc etc ....
