Dave,

Welcome back...

I saw only a few laps, but yeah, Barros was stuffing Rossi.. Rossi was screwing up lines etc (a bit like meself)...

Made a change I s'pose... Shame no-one told Barros the season was already over though..

barros

Well basically Barros was out for the first time on a 4 stroke Honda and was on a mission. Showed rossi how to late brake and they swopped places acouple of times but Barros got him in the end.
Rossi cocked up his lines a few times tryin to out brake him.
Should of seen how chuffed the other riders were with him on the run out lap. Me thinks Rossi may not be as liked as we all think!

Capriossi came in a stunning 3rd on the 2 stroke. Top bloke.

Cant wait for the Ducati effort next year.

Oh yeah...and Kawasaki entered a bike ( ridden by Yanagawa) for the first time in 15 or so years. ( He crashed out)

2003 MotoGP

Also, with the way that Bayliss was riding the wheels off the superbike at the last round, I think that Rossi is going to get a few surprises next year, and not from Mad Max...

Rossi

I'd better find a tape of this, sounds like one of the best races in GP all year... thanks for the summary guys.

Yeah next year with Max also on a Honda and Troy on the Duc it should be really good....

HONDA

I reckon Honda are going to throw money at the GP effort next year. They won't want the same struggle as the superbikes.

Hope that Bayliss makes the switch better than most!!
Cant wait for next season to start ..I just dont wanna see Gp's
completely over shadow superbikes.

What's happened to Foggy's team. ???

Yeah BigPhil, have to agree there, the supers have always been
my favorite over the GP's.

Testing has started for Ducati MotoGP already.....

The 33 year old Australian, WSBK champion in 2001 and runner-up this year, who completed 30 laps on the new Ducati prototype, which will make its debut next year in the MotoGP championship, was enthusiastic and satisfied with the work completed today.

“It’s a completely new toy!” declared Troy. “The last few months I’ve been seeing the bike and I’ve wanted to get on it for a long time. It took a while before we got going this morning because it was so foggy and the track was quite wet and we didn’t really start until after lunch.

“We know we’ve got a great big job ahead of us but I’ve enjoyed what we’ve done so far and we’re making pretty good progress already. That’s why we’ve started a week after Imola, we know we’ve got a lot of work ahead of us and that’s what we’re doing. We’ve got plenty of tests before the racing starts but we’re looking forward to it.

“This is not my Superbike for sure!” he added. “It’s very different, much lighter and more powerful, there is nothing from the Superbike on this, we’ve just got to start and learn everything again. Vito has already been testing on it, he’s done a good job, but basically I have to start from scratch and get ready for MotoGP.”
