Well, I was in the Army for 10 yrs and it's been my experience that the AF standards of living seem to be higher than the other services. It's a bit harder to get promoted, but in general, AF live better, get higher amount of money for being deployed for training, better food. Anyway, that's my

Good luck

Although I didn't really appreciate my military experience @ the time (US Army '75-80) it became a formative time in my life in that I became a much more disciplined individual. Thanks to the GI bill went through college & bought my home with my VA loan.
I still stay in touch with many of those I served with & we had a reunion in 2000 with another coming in 2005. I served overseas & I think that was an experience that everyone should have. Living in another country is great way to expand your world view.

Generally speaking the AF is a more technical branch. Todays Navy & Army do have their technical aspects but there are jobs in both that are very blue collar in their nature. Marines are gung ho military branch but you gotta love 'em.

don't ask me what I did because if I told you I would have to kill you

go into the air force. chose the 3COX1 career field. 60,000 bonus for a 6 yr enlistment and its in the works to raise it to 80k. its computers galore.

Finishing up 20 years service this week and retiring myself.

I am a Cryptologist in the Navy and will be retiring as a CPO. The great part is I am still going to be doing my 'old' job, just as a Governement Silly Villian :-)

My field is intense computer and telecommunications equipment.

Go Air Force

Check out the
1C2x1 as well as 1T2? or is it 1T1 ah hell.

And if I had to re-enlist, in my current mindset I would join the Army. Standard of living for the AF is better though, and Hindsight is 20-20.

hate to say it but the air force is the way to go..... im in the army.. and even though it takes while for the AF guys to get promoted they get better facilities and barracks than the army. i'll take that as a trade off.

What do you want to do serve your country or get paid. Honestly if your looking to just get paid, finish your bachelors and stay a civilian, Or join the Air force, same thing. Your still gonna walk in in the morning and go "hey bob" to your superior. If you go in the navy and your not an officer, there is no telling what your going to be doing. You could be a genius and still sit in a swing painting the side of a ship. They don't make guarantees, as that goes no one can make you a solid unbreakable contractual enlistment into a certain occ field except the Marines. so reach down grab hold and see if you got a pair. If you do go USMC. Whatever you do good luck.
