New bike

Hi,
I'm looking to buy a new bike after several years away from riding. My last ride was a Suzuki GS500, and I'm looking for a little faster and little bit sportier bike and I was considering the Daytona 600. Does anyone have any feedback? I'm a fairly small guy at 5'5" and I'm looking for an everyday bike for around town and on the highway.

thanks, Matt

Be sure to check out the Speed 4. At $6500 list you basically get a naked TT600. Tuned for more mid-range than the TT or Daytona, so it should be more forgiving around town. Personally, I think it looks pretty damn good in black. Probably cheaper insurance as well.

There are lots of 600cc class starter bikes out there now, but the recent mag reviews put the Speed4 head and shoulders about them (Honda 599, Yam FZ6, Suz SV650).

I would suggest taking you local Triumph dealer up for a test ride. Then you can see which one that you like the best. Personally, I'm a favorite of the Sprint.

I like the TT600. It sits a little more upright than the Daytona, has the same suspension and brakes, or I should say the daytona has the same as the TT as they were carried over. I just recently bought my 2001 TT in great shape with only 1515 miles on it for $4200.00. Money well spent.
