Christmas?

What did you ask for --from Santa Claus?

I'd like a new camera. Mine just died on Tuesday.
I'd like the stainless steel tool box combo at Costco, and the air hockey table. I would like an Iwata micron as well. Oh please Santa, I've been good!!!!!!

I`ll be in Florida for x-mas, and my mom just loaned me $400 to help me get the new bike, so I don`t think I`ll be getting much if anything. Thats fine with me though, the new bike could be my x-mas present for the next 5 years for all I care

Lots of music CDs (non-mainstream stuff)
Books on sport/track riding
Various guitar accessories

I don't think Santa will bring the new 21" LCD monitor I'd like for my recording studio though ($1100).

I tend to listen to a public/non-commercial station here in Pittsburgh (WYEP, 91.3) that has a AAA format. The music isn't that off the wall stylistically, but you'll never hear it on a commercial radio station around here and it's hard to find in the local record stores. There is a distinct guitar bias as I also play guitar.... Anway, in no particular order:

Los Lonely Boys
Jayhawks
Derek Trucks Band
Robert Randolph and the Family Band
Lyle Lovett
Jimmy Thackary
The Iguanas
Liquid Soul
Verve remixes
Soda Jerks (local band)
Indigenous

There's probably another half dozen on my list that don't come to mind right now. I just keep adding to it as I get ideas.

Have you tried Eides in the strip? Not sure if the place is even there still, but they had alot of stuff you wouldn`t find in most stores.

I'm more into the folk-like Americana music but I do like Lyle Lovett, The Iguanas, Indigenous (I have their first CD).....I listen to 91.3 whenever possible.

This summer I discovered a new band (new to me) and went to a few music festivals to check them out....the name is Donna The Buffalo. You should check out their website and download some of their stuff....they do an awesome 20 minute version of Jimi Hendrix "Little Wing" and if your into guitar these guys jam....actually inspired me to learn to play the guitar.

If you like them you should also check out....
Big Leg Emma
Tiger Maple String Band
Jim Lauderdal (grammy winner but still cool)
I just saw the last two in concert last weekend..they were great!!!

One last guy to check out is Jackie Green...this kid is fantastic....seriously should check him out....I saw him in Rhode Island this past summer he blew me away!!!!!!

You guys ever heard of a band called Flogging Molly's?
If you are into Irish Drinking music of the 20th century, then you will love em. They are at least worth one listen!

And who said Santa wouldn't bring a monitor? He can't bring it , if you don't ask!!!!!!!!!
