The triumph only dealership sounds like what BMW has been doing for years. Nothing worse for me, then walking into a Triumph dealership and seeing all of the cool stuff for my bike buried in a corner behind all of the Ducati crap..(No offense to Ducati, just an example)

As a huge company, you have to look foreward so that your business can thrive and keep up with the demand of your customers. So far Bloom has done them right........I say good show old Chap, keep it coming!

if they are thinking of cutting down the sportbike/supersport line they may be in for a rude awakeing, they arn't Harley and jumping into the retro market with both feet could kill them.Look at Indian who went into the market and sold quite a few machines(although reliibility was sos,so at best). They need to look at marketing here in the Us and they need to Expand the damm dealer network and work on parts avalibility. It sucks. The marketing is mostly print, seen a Triumph ad on TV lately? I haven't .Big touring bikes, they will have to come a long way to beat Goldwings and Electra glides, sport touring is owned by BMW and Honda(not enough Yammies are brought in to sell.)

Did it say that they were cutting back on the supersport market? I must have missed that.

So, you've ordered parts and it's taken forever too, eh?
Nothing like an excuse of "It's coming over the pond, so it's gonna be a while" I thought there was a major distributor in Georgia, or Alabama.........what happened to that?

Hubby was talking to Mechanic Jason about the Thruxton, and Jason was weary of that kind of bike too. He said that most older riders wouldn't want to be in that riding postion for very long, and He doesn't see the newer riders getting into the retro market right now. Still too much of the latest, greatest wannabies out there.

If nothing else it's fun to watch the big boys spend there money and gamble, just like the rest of us!

The thing that pisses me off about it if true is that I just went thru this with Ducati,I had a Great Ducati shop that also sold Yamaha and Ducati came in and said the shop space was too small(yet 80% of the dealership was Ducati stuff) ect so the dealer after putting up with long waits on parts(hey they gotta hear the music when we don't get our parts fast) shitty teatment to the dealer on warrenty work(waiting forever for the money)he dropped them.I had no wrench ,no parts aval(GATTO SUCKS) and no choice but to sell unless I wanted to go 80or 90 miles to a shop. i had owned 3 Ducati's to this point so It wasn't like I was new to them .I am begining to wonder if any european marque other than BMW is worth a damm.
